There are many elements to this introduction alone. The introduction contains many kinds of sounds such as casual and semantic. As we all know, casual sounds are the natural every day sounds. In this introduction, there are many that stick out. The first one is the opening of the door. We open doors every day to get in and out of our houses, dorms, and classrooms. Then there are cars, we are constantly around cars which makes them a natural noise to us. These are important because these sounds remind the audience that this is a natural setting. Then the semantic sound is wind, which we are exposed to, but someone would have to really stop and listen in order to hear what the wind sounds like. In this, the wind is more dramatized for the effect of the heavy situation. It is a representation of real with a more dramatic feel.
Also in this introduction, there is a lot that is going on, and there is much distance between the sounds because it is so fast paced. The distance was needed in order to keep all of the sounds in one area. There is also directional sound because all of the sound is focused on one specific area. The road had great distance, but all of the sounds were directed only on the road.
